Todays Quest Environmental race from Rupanyup - 82 WPF flyers with 3046 birds, 10 GCHC flyers with 163 birds & 47 VRPU flyers with 1423 birds a total of 139 flyers and 4632 birds. Liberation. Due to low visibility caused by slow clearing fog the WPF, GCHC, and VRPU finally took to the skies together, rising above any lingering fog into clear blue heavens and clearing within a minute. Winds. On release the winds were, north westerly between 5 - 10 km/hr at ground level increasing to b/w 20 - 30km/hr west / north west up at 600m. The birds are expected to encounter similar winds on their journey home. Temperature. 12 deg at the race point on liberation. Good luck to all!
